Project Commitment

This old church situated on Moran Street was structurally damaged in the 2010 Kalgoorlie WA earthquake and had to be underpinned and supported with steel tie rods and supports to be converted to a residence.

  • All internal walls were repaired, lime set rendered and painted.
  • All timber ceilings, timber beams and timber floors were polished.
  • External trenches were dug and additional structural footings were installed
  • The inside was stripped of all materials and cracks were strengthened and sealed.
  • Steel tie rods were installed to tie external walls and to stop any future movement.
  • The inside of the church had to be painting and floor sanding.
  • Ornate stairs and choir loft were rebuilt and polished to match existing.
