Moran St Church, Kalgoorlie WA

  • This old church was converted to a residence.
  • It was structurally damaged in the 2010 Kalgoorlie earthquake and had to be underpinned and supported with steel tie rods and supports.
  • All internal walls were repaired, lime set rendered and painted.
  • All timber ceilings, timber beams and timber floors were polished.

External trenches were dug and additional structural footings were installed.
The inside was stripped of all materials and cracks were strengthened and sealed. Steel tie rods were installed to tie external walls and to stop any future movement.

Ornate stairs and choir loft were rebuilt and polished to match existing.
